This inspection is sticker equivalent to the annual Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) inspection (known as a “DOT inspection”). When your vehicle/trailer receives a state safety inspection beginning October 1, 2008, you will not be required to obtain a separate annual “DOT” inspection.
Effective October 1, 2008, commercial vehicles, trailers and converter dollies are subject to the Massachusetts Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspection.
